With over 28 years in the industry, Pamela Olin has perspective born of experience. Having worked as Designer, Artist, Inventor and Contractor, as well as occasionally being a client herself, Pamela really knows the value of maintaining good communication, being clear about expectations and attending to details.
Pamela's design style encourages the viewer to enter a dialogue, investing part of themselves to shape their own vision. Using her broad technical expertise, Pamela combines various elements to best suite the needs and wants of her clients.
Working with kids and the community is also a passion, Pamela designs and facilitates projects for congregations and park districts all over the Chicago area. She believes that a hands-on approach to learning makes a big difference.
Recently, Olin Design Studio launched a line of home furnishings entitled “Pull Yourself Together” . It includes a platter made of a lace-work of people titled “Group Effort”, a mirror framed in a wreath of dancers titled “Self Reflection” and small people pins called “Physical Attraction”.
In addition, Pamela creates beautiful curtain rods, benches, headboards and garden accents made from tree-bark textured steel rods and distressed pine or weathered cedar. These offerings cover a wide range of tastes from crisp and sleek to fluid and organic.
